Not legal advice. This summarizes our research of the official rule, checked September 30, 2026. Rules change and may require more than what is listed here: confirm with the official text or with the agency (Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission (SPCC), Georgia Department of Agriculture).
What the record must include
- Customer name
- Address of the property treated
- Company name and phone number
- Applicator name and registration or certification number
- Specific area(s) treated
- Brand name of the pesticide product or system applied or installed
- EPA registration number
- Amount of pesticide or other material applied
- Concentration applied
- Method of application
- Target pest(s)
- Application date
- Any post-application precautions
- Non-residential only (institutions, schools, commercial facilities): application start and completion times with AM/PM
How long to keep it
2 years. Made available to the Commissioner or an authorized representative on request within a reasonable amount of time.
What the customer gets
- Upon completion of every application (including installing or modifying a termite system), give the owner, resident or custodian a legible pesticide use record.
- The record may be written or electronic. Electronic delivery requires the owner or custodian to first sign the standardized Electronic Communication Acknowledgement form; keep it for the length of the contract or 2 years after it expires (620-3-.02(1)(g)).
- Exterior applications more than 10 feet from the structure (except enclosed stations): post a sign at least 4 x 5 inches at the access points at the time of application (620-3-.02(1)(l)).
Termites, fumigation and other cases
- Wood-destroying organisms: keep reports of all monitoring, inspections and reinspections under contract (date, person, whether WDO or termite activity was found) and provide them to the owner; contracts and supporting documents are kept for the contract term plus 2 years (620-6-.02).
Recent changes
The SPCC rules were amended April 8, 2026. The pesticide use record fields did not change; the amendment added a standardized acknowledgement for electronic delivery, requirements for noncertified persons applying RUPs, and removed the link between exterior signs and an interior application.
How PestSheet covers it in Georgia
Before you complete a visit for a client in Georgia, PestSheet checks that these fields are filled in:
- Applicator license or certification number
- EPA registration number
- Amount applied
- Target pest
- Rate or dilution
- Areas or sites treated
- Application method
- Post-application precautions
- Business phone
Also:
- For non-residential accounts, the end time of the service.
- Electronic delivery acknowledgement with the standard statement, signed on your phone and kept with the client (620-3-.02(1)(g)). Signing is free; sharing the PDF is Pro.
- Delivery reminder: the pesticide use record is due when the application is completed.
- Start and end time are required for non-residential accounts.
- Reminds you to keep records at least 2 years.
- Export the records of any period as PDF or CSV for an inspection (Pro).
The client's name and address, the service date and start time, and the applicator's name are always recorded. The app uses the Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 620-3-.02(1)(f) template. It doesn't check items the app doesn't record (for example active ingredients or equipment); those remain your responsibility.
